Why are NBI barrier
systems the most proven, tested, and reliable vehicle-access-control
barrier systems in the world? Absolutely NO substitute compares
to the advantages of NBI barriers! NBI
steel plate barriers are the perfect cultivation of engineering
achievement, durability, and security.
NBI barrier systems are engineered with the best
technical components and top-quality steel.
NBI
barrier systems are Pre-assembled as per site specifications.
NBI
barrier systems, as a standard feature, are the only systems hot-dip
galvanized for lasting durability and protection.
NBI
barrier systems allow NO limitations or restrict weight, and may
be anchored to a foundation by excavation / casting or bolt down
onto an existing concrete pad.
NBI
engineered hydraulic power units are the most compact, requiring
less than 3 cu. ft. enclosures. NO exposed mechanical or electrical
parts.
NBI’s
patented, self-contained buttress, surface-mount-steel plate barrier
designs, greatly simplifies barrier installation, reducing both
initial install costs and long-term maintenance requirements. Our
surface-mount-steel plate designs eliminate all major site excavation.
NBI’s
engineering excellence creates maximum-security, steel-plate barriers
with the least barrier plate height, requiring no more than 33 inches
height in full deployment position to successfully complete all
Department of State K12/L3 (15,000 pounds @ 50 mph) crash certifications.
NBI
offers three steel-plate model options.
1. Double Housing: Right and left EPA approved
self-contained housing attached to barrier plate for hydraulic power
unit enclosure. Tamper-resistant, eased manual operation with spring-loaded,
counter-balanced manual bar deployment system. Optional traffic
light and gate-arm located within barrier plate housing unit enclosure
as pre-assembled singular unit. Housing units may be recessed into
the fence-line or curbside without obstruction to roadway access.
2. Single Housing: Optional single sided, right
or left EPA approved self-contained housing attached to barrier
plate for hydraulic power unit enclosure. Tamper-resistant, eased
manual operation with spring-loaded, counter-balanced manual bar
deployment system. Optional traffic light and gate-arm located within
barrier plate housing unit enclosure as pre-assembled singular unit.
Housing units may be recessed into the fence-line or curbside without
obstruction to roadway access.
3. Remote Housing: Flush, surface-mount barrier
units require an EPA approved, remotely located hydraulic power
unit enclosure. No obstructions to roadway access. Manual operation
requires aid of hydraulics and/or electric motors.
The Body:
NBI’s surface-mount steel plate barrier systems use a monolithic,
hot-dip galvanized steel plate, delivered in one piece (model III-d
requires remote hpu) with only power source, conduit line hook up
required. Add an additional 15 years to the life of your barrier.
Whether a NBI pop-up steel plate, retractable bollard,
and/or drop arm crash beam, NBI is the only barrier
firm to provide its entire product line with hot-dip galvanization
as a standard feature.
The Heart:
Utilizing the latest technology in the design of the NBI
proprietary compact Hydraulic power Unit (HPU) and microprocessor
based electronic control system, NBI barrier solutions
provide impeccable performance, reliability, and maximum safety
and security unrivaled in the industry. Relays and timers control
NBI barrier systems, with optional easy to operate
manual control. NBI barrier systems can be integrated
into any type of access control devices, whether on or off site.
Prior to delivery, each barrier system is 100% factory tested and
adjusted for normal installed operating conditions.
NBI perks don’t
stop there; high quality steel, coupled with mastered installation
/ engineering techniques, ensures maximum energy absorption and
success in the stoppage of attempted vehicle penetration of any
type.
